Our PTA are a friendly team who work very hard to raise funds for our school. In the Summer Term of 2017 we managed to win lottery funding to purchase 20 Ipads for the children to use as well as other technology for the school. Over the years we have organised fundraising events that have included sponsored walks, pop up shops for mother's day and father's day, Halloween parties and Christmas fayres as well as providing refreshments for after school performances, and of course the popular Bingo evenings held at Clows Top Village Hall. Check out our calendar from the home page to find out what events they have planned.
Come and support us!
Our next meeting will be announced soon.
If you would like to offer your help at any of our upcoming events or find out more please contact a member of the PTA:-
Chair & Safeguarding Officer - Tracy Barnes
Please contact Tracy Barnes with any PTA Safeguarding enquiries
Hello, I am Tracy Barnes, Chair of the PTA.
I am mum to Jessica (year 8 at High School, who also came to Bayton School), Matt (Year 6), Will (Year 5) and Sam (Year 4). I have agreed to take on the role of Chair as I feel the PTA is such an important part of our school community and love arranging events to make lovely memories for all of our children. The role of PTA is very busy but great fun, you get to make some wonderful friends and its lovely seeing the smiles on the children's faces when they take part in the activities. We also raise money for our lovely school to help them purchase items for the children in their learning environment.
If you are interested in joining the PTA please come and have a chat with me or any of the PTA as some of us are always around on the playground.
Hope to see you at the next event
Vice-Chair & Data Protection Officer for PTA- Trudy Smith
Please contact Trudy Smith (using email@example.com) with any GDPR enquiries
Hi, I’m Trudy, mum to Elliot in year 6 and Billy in year 4. I’ve been involved in the PTA for a couple of years and took on the Vice Chair role in February. I love being involved in the school and helping create special memories for our children. For many years I worked as a learning mentor in an inner city primary school in Birmingham - Bayton is a little different to that, but I really enjoy contributing to the life and soul of our little school in some small way. Oh, and those who know me will tell you how much I LOVE decorating for Christmas, Easter and Halloween!! I have so much fun at these times of the year - as you’ll no doubt see this year!
Treasurer - Louise Berenger
I’m Louise and mum to Amelia Y4 and Ethan Y2. I’m an accountant for various companies and in the third year of being treasurer for the PTA.
Before becoming treasurer, I hadn’t even been to a PTA meeting before, but because the previous core roles were all stepping down, I knew I didn’t want the PTA to discontinue.
In all honesty, sometimes being involved with the PTA can be hard work, but helping out with activities in school and seeing the children enjoying what we do makes all the effort worthwhile.
The PTA helps to enhance the children’s experiences at school and making happy memories is all I can strive for.
Secretary - Lucinda Smith
Hi my name is Lucinda. I am a full time mum of two fantastic boys, one in Y2 and my other son is 8 months old.
I enjoy walking, reading and my other favourite past time is talking and having a joke and a laugh, as I'm sure many of you know.
I was a PTA sceptic and thought I'd never get involved, but it's so important to the school that the PTA exists and it's a great way to put forward your ideas and views for raising money and also getting to know people.
I am the PTA Secretary and I fell into this role by getting more involved with the PTA over the past 3 years.
I started by going to meetings and helping at events and I have got more involved and have become secretary because the PTA raises funds which enrich our child/ren's schooling, which I feel is very important and because they are such a great group of people to work with.
