• Harvest Festival

  We have our Harvest Festival Service at 9am on Thursday 22nd October in Church.

  Everyone is welcome to attend.

  We are asking for donations, such as: Tins, pasta, pasta sauce, tea, coffee, sugar, cereals, toiletries, rice etc.

  The items will be donated to local food banks.

   

  

• Photographer

  The school photographer will be in school on         Monday 19th October 

   

  If you would like a sibling photo of your child that DOES NOT attend Bayton, please come to the village hall at 8.30am.

   

  All children that attend Bayton will have individual and sibling photos taken.

   

  Please can all children come to school wearing correct uniform, if your child has PE on Monday, please can they bring their PE kit in a bag on this day.

• Meet and Greet

  Mrs Mitchell will be having a "Meet and Greet" to introduce herself to parents on Monday 21st September at 2.45pm in the Village Hall.

   

• Ice Lolly Sale

  The PTA will be selling ice lollies on the playground on Friday 3rd July at 3.15pm.

   

  

• Optional Early Collection Friday 26th June

  Due to the extension of the red weather alert, we have made the decision to give parents the option to collect their children early tomorrow. The children have done so well to continue learning and smiling in the heat, however, we feel they would benefit from an afternoon at home after a challenging week.

   

  Children can be collected at either 11.45am, 1pm or 3.15pm.

   

  Please come to the front door at any of these collection times.

   

  We can provide work if requested.

  As temperatures rise, we are taking steps to ensure the wellbeing of all pupils and staff during 
  periods of extreme heat. Here’s how we’re keeping your child safe, and how you can support us:

  
  School Measures

  
  • Monitoring classroom temperatures and adjusting activities when it gets too hot.
  • Encouraging regular water breaks and allowing water bottles in classrooms.
  • Keeping blinds/curtains closed on sunny sides and using fans where safe.
  • Moving PE or outdoor play to earlier or later in the day to avoid peak heat.
  • Providing shaded areas for breaks and lunchtime where possible.
  • Being alert for signs of heat-related illness and responding promptly.

  
  How You Can Help

  
  • Send your child to school with a named water bottle each day.
  • Apply long-lasting suncream at home in the morning (where applicable).
  • Provide a sun hat and, if possible, sunglasses.
  • Dress your child in lightweight, breathable clothes—uniform rules may be relaxed during 
  heatwaves (we will confirm this in advance).
  • Let us know if your child has any health conditions that affect how they cope with heat.
