Vision and Values
Our 9 core Christian values
Visions And Values
Here at Bayton C of E Primary School we strive to achieve our vision;
We aim for everyone to be part of our community, be life-long learners who are confident, enthusiastic, valued and reach their God given full potential.
It is our hope that all our children leave school at the end of the day, eager to return the following day whilst remembering our school motto;
'be the best you can be, as a child of God'.
As a church school we hold our values at the heart of all that we do. This was a strength in our March 2018 Church inspection. We love to develop a sense of awe and wonder in all our children. Our spirituality statement reflects this;
we aim to look through the window of life with awe and wonder to develop our Christian mind, body and spirit.
Our 9 core values and school motto are displayed throughout the school building. Our children, staff, Governors, parents/carers all understand these as being part of our school ethos. We provide a caring, secure and happy environment where every person can feel that they are respected and their individual needs taken into account.
Our 9 Core Christian Values;
Friendship |
Hope |
Perseverance |
Compassion |
Trust |
Forgiveness |
Responsibility |
Respect |
Truthfulness |
These values are further recognised in our weekly 'Praise Assembly' through our ‘Very Valued’ awards. Our children also receive an 'I have shown a school value today' sticker if they can show living out a value at any point in the day. In our school entrance hall, we have our prayer tree where children are able to talk to God either in display or privately. These prayers reflect the focal value for term. We also give all children the opportunity to take part in a creative termly homework project to encourage them to think about our values outside of school. All pupils, staff and visitors recognise that we are a Church school which holds the values at the forefront of all that we do.
